Cheech Marin appeared on Fox's Good Day New York this morning. He spoke of his love and support of art.

Cheech in Dylan Flick

Cheech Marin recently finished shooting the film Masked and Anonymous. The film stars Bob Dylan and numerous other celebrities (Jeff Bridges, John Goodman, Angela Bassett and more). It is about the ups-and-downs of being a musician. The film is currently in post production and will be released sometime in 2003. Note: One can presently see Cheech as Uncle Felix in Spy Kids 2 (in theaters now).

Best Buds In Production...Again

We've just received word that Tommy Chong is in the process of re-tooling the film Best Buds.
If you recall, back in September 12th, 2000, Tommy's lawsuit against Coyote Films was settled out of court. Tommy Chong is now in possession of the original reels. Tommy had sued Coyote Films because he disagreed with the way the film had been edited.
Tommy plans on releasing Best Buds, most likely straight to DVD, within one year's time.

Today we learned that a Cheech Marin cooking show is in development for the Food Network. The show is in the development stage so an air date is unknown.
As you may recall, Cheech made an appearance on the Bill Bogg's cooking show on FN back in March 2000 when he took Bill to his favorite restaurant.

Cheech Turns Fifty-Six

Yes, it's that time of year again. July 13th is Cheech's birthday. Fifty-six years ago this super doper star of Nash Bridges was born in Los Angeles, California.

Tommy Turns Sixty-Four

Yes, it's that time of year again. Friday, May 24th is Tommy's birthday. Sixty-four years ago the king of dope was born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Long live Tommy Chong!

It Came From Hollywood Now On DVD

On July 16th, Paramount Home Video will be releasing Cheech & Chong's It Came From Hollywood on DVD.
This movie is a hysterical, forgotten classic. Cheech and Chong goof on classic horror flix. The best line is when a cat is attacking the shrinking man. Cheech says "This is the first time a pussy ate a man."

Corsican Bros Now On DVD

On June 4th, MGM Entertainment will be re-releasing Cheech & Chong's Corsican Bros exclusively to DVD. Prior to this, die hard C & C fans had to comb the ebay listings for previously viewed video store rentals. Comb no more.
This movie is hysterical. They play twins that can feel each other's pain and pleasure. As a result, they abuse each other relentlessly.

REVIEW: Rhino Anthology

We just received an advanced copy of Rhino Records Where There’s Smoke There’s Cheech & Chong: The Cheech & Chong Anthology . Funny, very funny! Not only do you get a CD containing their greatest bits, but you also receive some awesome unreleased material. The two Up in Smoke radio commercials, found in Rhino Records' vaults, haven't been heard since the 70s. These commercials are hysterical, featuring Arab, Saydis Saydat, as well as Horrendo Revolver.

The last track, Old Man in the Park, is a live sketch from a concert at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium. It's about a punk harassing an old man. The old man, Chong, fakes a heart attack to get back at him. You have to hear it. This sketch can be seen on their out-of-print "Perform" video.

Besides the great sketches, the 2 CD set includes a booklet laced with photos and the most comprehensive Cheech & Chong bio we've ever read (written by the legendary Dr Demento).

One would be a fool not to pick up this release.

Tommy's New Movie

Tommy's got a new film in the works named You'll Never Wiez in This Town Again. It is written and directed by Pauly Shore. The premise...Pauly loses everything he owns and decides to fake his own death. Needless to say, he gets caught. The status of the movie is unknown, but the cast list is AWESOME. Most of the actors play themselves including Tommy Chong, Tommy Lee, Jerry Springer, Jaime Bergman of Howard Stern's Son Of The Beach, Ben Stiller and more.
