Stacy Keach Discusses his Cocaine Arrest in his New Book

Legendary actor, Stacy Keach (Sargant Stadanko from Up in Smoke and Nice Dreams) has a lot on his plate right now.  He's shot four sitcoms in the past 5 weeks.  Last weekend, he appeared in a play at UCLA. This weekend he'll be narrating Edgar Allen Poe's The Tell-tale Heart at the "EEK! at the Greek" Halloween concert with the Glen Orchestra.

And he recently released his book titled All in All: An Actor's Life On and Off the Stage.  Among other things, he discusses his addiction to cocaine and his bust in Europe after which he served a six month sentence.

Keach will be discussing his career and his autobiography Friday evening at the American Cinematheque's Aero Theatre in Santa Monica between screenings of two of his best films: William Peter Blatty's surreal "The Ninth Configuration" (1980), which finds the actor portraying an outrageous commanding officer at an old castle-turned-asylum for U.S. soldiers, and John Huston's downbeat "Fat City" (1972), in which Keach is heartbreaking as a washed-up pugilist.

Cheech and Chong Up in Smoke New Year's Eve Party Coming to Chicago

The Up In Smoke tour featuring Cheech & Chong & War has been tearing it up in venues across the country all summer. This winter, the tour will stop at The Chicago Theatre on Tuesday, December 31st, 2013 as part of Chicago’s 11th Annual Greatest Night of Comedy.

The iconic comedy duo Cheech & Chong defined an era with their hilariously irreverent, satirical and counter-culture routines. Highlights for Grammy-winning Richard “Cheech” Marin and Tommy Chong include 9 hit comedy albums and shattering record sales, along with 8 hit feature films which they co-wrote and starred in. All films were directed by Chong. Their first film, “Up In Smoke”, the highest grossing comedy of 1978, topped $100 million at the box office. In 2009, the duo made history when comedy partners Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong announced their first reunion tour in over 25 years, selling out shows from coast to coast. Last April, Cheech & Chong’s Animated Movie came out theatrically and on DVD, showcasing the legendary toker jokers in animation as they bring to life their outrageous routines and laugh-out-loud lines from their historic albums.

Update: Cheech and Chong Up in Smoke Holiday Tour Coming to New Jersey

The Cheech and Chong reunion tour keeps going and going and going.

This time, they're coming back to New Jersey.  They've played Atlantic City, Red Bank and now they're playing Bergen PAC in Englewood.  It's the Cheech and Chong and WAR Up in Smoke Holiday Tour.

We don't know if the holiday tour is any different than the standard Up in Smoke tour.

Bergen PAC is in our backyard.  We've been there many times. It's an ok venue.  The acoustics and sound system aren't very good.  It's very often difficult to hear what people on stage are saying.

The audience is also rather interesting because a large part of the audience is elderly rich donors with season passes.  We saw Colin Quinn there and were surrounded by 80-90 year olds.
