Cheech and Chong recently won cheechandchong.com from Ryan Tracy. Ryan Tracy, Mr Weedmaster, has owned and operated the site, with Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong's blessing, since 1998. Only after reuniting, did they pursue gaining ownership of the domain. Rather than working out a deal, they bullied him. Ultimately, they opened a domain dispute with UDRP and won, leaving it's former owner high and dry.
On December 1st, ownership of cheechandchong.com will be transferred to Cheech and Chong. Ryan Tracy will move the site to www.cheechandchongfans.com.
In this video, Ryan, explains some of the details of the bullying by Cheech and Chong's lawyers, agents and managers.

You know I have listened to Cheech and Chong since about 1971. I was in highschool The government in a usual fashion wanted them put in their place, but I supported. I have always made claim to never be anyones biggest fan but Jesus.I have been a SUPPORTER in your rights to be free and epress yourselves. Over the years I've spent monies for their movies and found only Up In Smoke and Born in East L.A. worth watching The rest is just fluff or really bad.(Especially The Corsican Brotyhers) P/U. When C&C broke up I understood this because of growth or differences of opinions and leadership power trips. Sometimes outside elements make it happen. But all in all I have always supported. I covered stories going to their shows or Cheech's Art Collection Cheech's Comedy Show Tommy's Comedy Shows with his wife Shelby. Book signings and the reunion tour. Remember when I stepped in and blocked the freak at the book siging in Corte Madera Calif? He was ranting and raving about Amber Garcia. I stood between you and him blocking him while you made it to safety. This was all documented by the Weedmaster. I was given this ability by The weedmaster whom for over a decade has been keeping them in the news, working the site that he legally got through the Internet abandonement area. Today against all that they believed in, All that they jokes about running from the Vietnam WAR and asking all of us to back them They pull a cheap hen house stunt like this. The Weedmaster doesnt make all that much and he basically ran this site by ways of making his own. Is he really a thief? Did he steal this site? This is just un-becoming of the Pope of dope and his buddy. I believed in you guys and you turned into someone you despised in the past. Did your greedy shister lawyers talk you into hurting this young man in a time when the world economy is hurting everyone. I hope your proud of your greed and power trip. After Dec first I will remove my account from this site and join the NEW fan site. Mr Tracy you did a wonderful job and if you even made a few ducketts enough to buy yourself a new car or splurge a little with your lady, I am happy you donated your time to seeing that the people whom were fans or supported Cheech and Chong got to be apart of it all. I know no one paid you and you know No one ever paid me for all my work. Guess its a take take take issue by the rich and famous hypocrits. fall...after being so stoked to see them again for the first time in 35
years...I'm pretty cynical about the reunion. Sometimes you just can't

all off.

Wow, this really changes my view on the duo. I thought they loved their fans, but now I see that isn't so if they are standing in the way for potential revenue.
