In his youtube video earlier this week, Tommy Chong claimed he had joined NDP so he could support Canadian candidate, Dana Larsen.
However, NDP says Chong is not a member of NDP and is in fact a citizen of the United States.
I think this is a case of Tommy Chong wanting to get as much press as Cheech Marin whose film, Machete, was released on DVD this week.

Tommy Chong is a Canadian citizen who resides in Vancouver. He also has a house in Los Angeles but he has been a Canadian citizen his whole life.
