Gaye Delorme Benefit

Gaye Delorme is a veteran ace guitarist from Canada who co-wrote Earache My Eye with Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong. He also wrote 'Me and My Old Lady' and 'Chilly Winds' from the film Things Are Tough All Over, as well as other sketches with Cheech and Chong.

Some other random facts:
  • Country music fans may know Gaye from his dirty song 'The Rodeo Song."
  • In 1984, he produced k.d. lang's debut album.

Gaye is legally blind from diabetes and recently sustained injuries during a mugging. There is a benefit/tribute taking place tomorrow (Friday) at Vancouver's Yale Hotel. Many musicians are coming to help out including Dalannah Gail Bowen, Brickhouse, Jerry Doucette, Brian Newcombe.

Tickets are only $15. Everyone that's in the area should attend.

I just think this is the sickest-COOL clip I have seen in such a long, long time!! I remember Gaye from back in the C & C days, was enthralled when I heard his 'rodeo song' and hope the creep who mugged him meets an early grave. Peace be with you, Gaye!!

Your long time fan, Charlie Gillespie from Snowflake Arizona
