In honor of 4/20, Funny or Die put together a video of Tommy Chong and his friends getting high. Then, they tried to scare them with far out questions and fake cop. They did a great job.

Tommy Chong at Hash Bash
Tommy Chong was the guest of honor at this weekend's Hash Bash in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Tommy received the key to the city and gave a fantastic speech predicting the elimination of the Nixon-created DEA. In addition, he did a countdown to 4:20 by doing the infamous 'mellow' speech from Up in Smoke.
This was an especially poignant time because earlier this week, the jerk marijuana lobbyists in Washington DC notified Tommy that they no longer wanted to be associated with him.

Cheech and Chong Playing Pemberton Festival
Rappers Kendrick Lamar and Missy Elliott, rockers The Black Keys and Weezer, and electronic stars Tiesto and J. Cole top the bill for this year’s Pemberton Music Festival.
The festival, held July 16-19 north of Whistler, announced its lineup Wednesday morning, on April Fool’s Day, leading fans to suspect the announcement may have been a joke after weeks of anticipation and hints being dropped on social media.
“We might be announcing our lineup on April Fool’s Day, but we aren’t joking around,” HUKA Entertainment co-founder A.J. Niland said in a press release. “The lineup is exceptionally deep and each and every day will be full of surprises and special moments to match the magic of our beautiful Pemberton Valley festival site. It’s always a bit of a battle as a small indie promoter to get the acts you want, but we worked extra hard this year to make sure we’re bringing the best to B.C.”
Other notable performers include Vancouver favourites Dan Mangan + Blacksmith and rising star Tobias Jesso Jr.
Electronic dance music is once again a big component at the festival, with big EDM names like Bassnectar and the Full Flex Express featuring Jack U, the project of electronic superstars Skrillex and Diplo, also in the mix.
Rounding out the event are a gaggle of comedians including Tim & Eric, Cheech & Chong, Reggie Watts and Doug Benson.
Tickets for the festival go on sale Friday, April 3 at pembertonmusicfestival.com.

Tommy Chong to Headline Hash Bash
ANN ARBOR- Tommy Chong, half of the famous marijuana-themed comedy duo Cheech and Chong, has been announced as the headline speaker at this year’s Hash Bash celebration April 4 in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Hash Bash is the largest protest advocating marijuana law reform in Michigan. The Bash, and its companion celebration, the Monroe Street Fair, drew an estimated 8,000 people last year.
“We are so proud to have Tommy Chong attending the Hash Bash and Monroe Street Fairs this year,” said longtime Fair coordinator Charlie Strachbein, who is a principal in the BDT Smokeshop chain, the primary sponsor of Chong’s appearance in Michigan.
Other notables appearing in a speaking role during Hash Bash include cultivation guru DJ Short and former Hash Bash frontman Adam Brook; nationally known Michigan advocates Rick Thompson, Jamie Lowell, and Chuck Ream; elected officials including Representative Jeff Irwin, Mayor Virg Bernero of Lansing, Ann Arbor councilperson Sabra Briere; scientist Dr. Dave Peters; lawman Sheriff Bill Federspiel of Saginaw County; attorneys Michael Komorn and Matthew Abel; patient and SSDP representatives.
Appearing on stage and addressing the crowd this year: the man who was the inspiration for the gathering that has evolved into the Hash Bash, John Sinclair himself.
“We offer a great format for local leaders and national names to speak directly to the public and address issues that are important to them,” said Hash Bash’s Director of Operations, Nick Zettell.
The 44th Annual Hash Bash will be celebrated on the campus of the University of Michigan, which prohibits marijuana possession and use. The Monroe Street Fair, just two blocks south of the Bash location, is in the city of Ann Arbor and cannabis is consumed openly and in volume.
Ann Arbor businesses boom every year during Hash Bash, and this year the economic benefit to the community will be doubled as the entire weekend is filled with cannabis-themed events. In addition to the Hash Bash and MSF, Leni Sinclair will be displaying her photography, and there will be a Peace Table discussion featuring Michigan’s divergent pro-cannabis organizations, on Friday during the Michigan NORML Quarterly Meeting; Students for Sensible Drug Policy’s Midwest Regional Conference is Sunday.
Chong may be famous for being the better-looking half of Cheech and Chong, a twosome from California that became legendary comedians, motion picture stars and recording artists, but he’s received notoriety recently for a stint in federal prison and healing his prostate cancer with marijuana medicine.
With media cameras rolling, Chong announced his illness in 2011, He vowed to beat the cancer with cannabis-based medicine and in 2013 declared that he had done it. That was after Tommy Chong served a nine month federal prison sentence in 2003-2004 for Internet sales of bongs and smoking accessories.

RIP June 'Ajax Lady' Fairchild
It's a sad day for Cheech and Chong fans. Up in Smoke's Ajax Lady, June Fairchild, has passed away from liver cancer. She was 68.
Fans saw her not too long ago (April 2013) at the premiere of Cheech and Chong's Animated Movie. June looked great.
However, June had a history of drug and alcohol addiction. She had lived on the streets, where she was beaten and raped. June spent her last years living on Social Security disability payments in small rooms in downtown hotels.
Besides being known as one of the stars from Up in Smoke, she was in dozens of movies, she also coined the name for the band Three Dog Night. Cheech used to hire her to do stand-up at parties.
In 2002, she told The Times that she signed a contract at Paramount Studios for use of her likeness on bobble-head dolls of the Ajax Lady from "Up in Smoke."
Up in Smoke wasn't the first time she performed the Ajax Lady character. She first did it in a Jack Nicholson film.
June died Tuesday after being put in hospice care over the weekend. Friends are hoping that Tommy Chong will help with funeral expenses.
She is survived by her daughter, grandson and brother.

Tommy Chong is in New York City this week doing a press tour.
Here's a recap of some of his appearances.

Talked about using pot suppositories to reduce his prostate cancer.
Take note that he had cancer cells, but not a dangerous level. He just used it as a means to promote legalization.
He told a great story about how, after Up in Smoke, they needed help getting an additional film deal (without Lou Adler). Within a few hours, Howard Brown was able to negotiate two deals with two studios for three movies for more money than Cheech and Tommy asked for.

Cannabis Industry Leaders Announce ''2015 Cannabis Project''
January 6, 2015 (MMD Newswire) -- On Friday January 9th, 2015 during the Washington Cannabis Summit events C&C Cannabis is hosting a press conference to announce the formation of "2015 Cannabis Project".
"2015 Cannabis Project is being launched show the world that Seattle and Washington State is on the forefront of progressive cannabis policy and economic development.
Kicked off by Mr. Tommy Chong this one hour event will welcome national and local media members. The press conference will be held at the Pioneer Building, 600 1st Ave, Suite 304, Seattle at C&C's corporate headquarters in downtown Seattle. This major media event will be held from 1:30pm to 2:30pm Local and statewide elected officials will be in attendance.
The goals of "2015 Cannabis Project" will be:
- To secure Washington State and Seattle as socially responsible leaders in the legal cannabis industry.
- Setting long-term strategies to position Washington State and Seattle as completive contributors to this new industry.
- Guiding other states at replacing prohibition with a system of taxation and regulation.
- Making sure that marketing, advertising and sales does not target minors. Launch programs building public awareness of safe and responsible consumption like was created in the beer industry in the past three decades.
- Create environmentally friendly techniques to grow and process cannabis products including the use of clean solar and hydro power sources.
"If marijuana were taxed similarly to alcohol and tobaccos is now nationally we can help generate billions annually in tax revenues and savings to state and federal expenditures on enforcement" said Pete O'Neil, Managing Member of C&C Cannabis of Seattle.
Megan Ready, Sustainability Director with Tyee Farms explains that "the production, processing, and sales of recreational marijuana in Washington State is an unprecedented, greenfield business opportunity. Social, economic, and environmental benefits can be maximized and negative impacts mitigated if our industry adopts sustainability as a business framework.
Ready goes on to say "the potential economic benefits to the public are substantial. Many living wage jobs are being created. Tax revenue, estimated to be in excess of $500 million annually according to the American Civil Liberties Union of Washington State, will contribute to programs such as Washington State's general fund, local budgets, health care, and youth drug prevention programs. The infrastructure needs of the recreational marijuana industry create an exceptional opportunity to partner with organized labor."
Space is limited to this event. Media personnel should secure themselves on the guest list by contacting Adam or Andrew Powers at 206-420-3907 or emailing media@cc-shops.com.

Tommy Chong Visits Futurola in Amsterdam
Tommy was out in Amsterdam this past weekend to launch his partnership with Futurola.
Here is some video from the events. I guess his Dancing with the Stars smoking hiatus is over.
Legendary writer/actor/comedian Tommy Chong of the Grammy Award-winning comedic duo Cheech & Chong, and 2014 competitor in ABC’s Dancing with the Stars has inked his first-ever international co-branding deal with Europe’s top purveyor of roll-your-own smoke accessories, Futurola, to introduce premium Dutch rolling equipment to the expanding U.S. market.
Headquartered in “the smoker’s capital of the world,” Amsterdam, Netherlands, Futurola opened its first U.S. branch office in early 2014 to bring its line of high-quality smoke accessories to legal medical marijuana patients and American smoke enthusiasts nationwide. The collaboration, which unites Europe’s top brand of smoker’s equipment with America’s most famous toker, will feature a co-branded collection of roll-your-own essentials including fine, handcrafted rolling papers, herb grinders and Futurola’s patented rolling machine -- the only device on the market which rolls cone-shaped cigarettes, the preferred style in Dutch coffee shop culture.
