Tommy Discusses His Arrest & The Reunion

The Los Angeles Newspaper Group had a chance to conduct a phone interview with Tommy Chong today. During the interview, Tommy states that he has "no animosity towards anybody." He says that he understands why the Bush administration "went after me the way they did. I totally understand it. They're so crooked they needed any kind of diversion they could get."
When asked about the reunion movie, Tommy said that the first script got rejected and that he has since submitted a second script which needs additional work. Sadly, Cheech Marin appears to be shying away from the project. Cheech doesn't want to be Pedro. As a result, Tommy needed to create a Cheech, Jr. character who "carries half the movie."
There is a lot more to the interview.

I’d probably hug him.”
