DVD Box Set Released in Europe 11.03.2004

The first ever Cheech and Chong DVD box set will be released on November 15th. Ironically, the "Cheech and Chong Collection: Organically Grown In The US" will only be released in Europe. There is no planned release for the US. The collection includes Next Movie, Nice Dreams, Things Are Tough All Over, Born In East LA and Get Out Of My Room.

Cheech on Inside Dish With Rachael Ray

Cheech Marin will be appearing on the November 26th (9PM EST) episode of a new Food Network show called "Inside Dish With Rachael Ray."
Description: Rachael Ray travels to Malibu, CA for lunch at the beachfront home of Cheech Marin. Cheech takes Rachel on a tour of the grounds and talks about his extensive collection of Chicano art. Then, it's into the kitchen to prepare a banana blossom salad.
No word on what kind of greens were in that salad.
This isn't Cheech's first appearance on TFN. He was also on "Bill Bogg's Corner Table" back in 2000, where he introduced Bill to Aqua's ice cream sodas.
Cheech is known for his culinary taste. He is part owner of the infamous Ana Mandara, a Vietnamese restarant in San Francisco, CA. Who's his partner? His Nash Bridges co-star, Don Johnson.

Pat Morita and his wife Evelyn Guerrero (aka Mr Miyagi from the Karate Kid and Donna from Cheech and Chong films) recently joined Playboy Magazine for Nevada Day.

Cheech Marin's art exhibit, Chicano Visions, opened in Minnesota today. The local NBC affiliate did a news story on the exhibit which includes an interview with Cheech Marin.

Pauly Shore Is Dead

We first told you about this flick on 2001. Originally titled You'll Never Wiez In This Town Again, Pauly Shore's latest effort, Pauly Shore Is Dead is about to hit theaters. The release will be limited at first and will find it's way to DVD in early 2005. The premise...Pauly loses everything he owns and decides to fake his own death. Needless to say, he gets caught.
The cast list is AWESOME. Most of the actors play themselves including Tommy Chong, Tommy Lee, Jerry Springer, Jaime Bergman of Howard Stern's Son Of The BeachT, Ben Stiller and more.

Chong's Judge Judged

A federal appeals court tossed out a ruling made last year by US District Judge Charles Schwab. In this case, Schwab (the same judge that sentenced Tommy on bogus charges) copied someone elses opinion word-for-word. The appeals court ruled that he put no thought into his decision. Also, make note that this judge was appointed by President Bush and only had nine months of experience when he sentenced Tommy.

Cheech Marin Art Exhibit Coming To Minneapolis

Chicano, an unprecedented dual art exhibition, presented by Target Stores, sponsored by Hewlett-Packard Company and produced by Clear Channel Exhibitions, will open to the public at the Weisman Art Museum in Minneapolis and the Minnesota Museum of American Art in St. Paul on October 2, 2004.
Chicano is a five-year, 15-city national tour that is collectively made up of two major exhibits: Chicano Visions: American Painters on the Verge, a traditional art exhibit, and Chicano Now: American Expressions, an interactive multimedia exhibit for families.
