The Daytime Emmy Awards is paying tribute to Dick Clark this year with appearances by Simon Cowell, Cher, Jay Leno and Garth Brooks. The show will also include performances or appearances by Sin City acts like the Blue Man Group, Wayne Newton, Cheech & Chong, Jeff Foxworthy and Cirque du Soleil.
The show is June 27 and CBS.

Chong Talks About the Origin of the Bit 'Dave'
Tommy Chong was on KTNV's action news promoting this weekend's Cheech and Chong: Get It Legal shows in Vegas. During the interview, Tommy once again talks about the origins of their 'Dave' bit. Tommy once again stretches the truth about the origins of their 'Dave' bit.
Another version of the story which Tommy doesn't mention during this interview is that Cheech was knocking on the door of where Cheech and Chong were recording some bits. The door was locked, Tommy was fucking with Cheech and the entire thing was recorded. Then, they re-recorded the bit for their album. Tommy says the original tape has since been lost and he says the original tape was funnier than the one on the album.

The bit 'Dave' which is featured on their first, self-titled album, was written by this guy named Dave in the comedy troop they were part of in Canada. Duh, didn't everyone think it was odd that Cheech was asking for Dave? The real Dave is mentioned briefly in one of Tommy's books.

Nice! Mary Beth Buchanan, the former US Attorney General, that wrongfully prosecuted Tommy Chong for conspiracy to sell bongs through the internet, has lost Pittsburgh's 4th Congressional District Republican primary.
Buchanan only had 33% of the vote.

Director, Josh Gilbert, Responds to Chong's Disparaging Comments
Last month, Tommy Chong, made disparaging comments about a/k/a Tommy Chong Director, Josh Gilbert, to Eye Weekly.
This is typical of Tommy Chong, Cheech Marin and Shelby Chong. They badmouth me, the owner of this site/former owner of Cheech and Chong Dot Com/the guy that got them to reunite, in one of the Extras on their new live tour DVD/Blu-ray, Hey Watch This.
Today, Eye Weekly published a response from Josh Gilbert. It's a good read and is just the tip of the iceberg of what really went down. The entire story is shocking and atrocious.
