Cheech And Chong Dot Com At Gallagher
A few of us from Cheech and Chong Dot Com went to see Gallagher at the Palace Theatre in in Stamford, CT last night. The place was sold out. He performed for a full 3 hours. You'll be hard-pressed to find another comedian that could last for a full 3 hours.
He had mostly new material. Very few of the jokes had been used in his previous television specials. He asked anyone whose birthday it was to come on stage. Of course, a few dozen people came up. Each had the opportunity to smash a pie (apple sauce, corn, etc) and watermelons with the sledge-o-matic. Everyone was soaked in food.
It was hysterical. You should see him if he comes to your area.

Chong Writing Play With Cheech?
According to Whitney Matheson's blog on USA Today, Tommy Chong stopped by her studio yesterday. Tommy is in town for the SXSW Film Festival. He quickly mentioned that he and Cheech are writing a Cheech and Chong play.
This is news to us here at Cheech and Chong Dot Com. It must be a new development. When we spoke to Cheech a few weeks ago, he said he wasn't working on any projects with Tommy. We'll try to get more information for you.
Update: Tommy didn't say he is working with Cheech on a play. It's not true. Wish it was, but it's not.

Chong Discusses The Arrest, Reunion & Marijuana-Logues
This weekend, Tommy and Shelby are performing stand-up at The Improv in Akron, OH. Cleveland's The Plain Dealer had a chance to interview Chong about the Marijuana-Logues, the end of the reunion and his arrest.
Marijuana-Logues...Tommy briefly appeared in the off-broadway show, Marijuana-Logues, last year. The show was to then tour the country. However, due to problems with Tommy's probation, he was forced to cancel the tour (fans were throwing joints onto the stage).
The reunion with Cheech..."It got frostier and colder. The reunion did not go well for Cheech, but Cheech is no longer Cheech, he's Richard and a spokesman for the Latino community. He's far above the lowrider, pot-smoking guy he was," said Chong. "They expected us to do some live performing. I said we could do a million bits, and he was like, I don't want to do it. I haven't done that in so long.' And I said, Well, you don't even have a line in this one.' In the end, he wouldn't do it."
