Tommy Chong 'Wolf of Wall Street' Was My Idea

The Wolf of Wall Street, Jordan Belfort, served time at Taft Correctional at the same time Tommy Chong was there.  They were cellmates.  Jordan saw that Tommy Chong was writing The I Chong: Meditations from the Joint and wanted to do the same.

Tommy Chong read his first draft and didn't like it.  Jordan rewrote the book and this is the version that was released.

In today's TMZ interview, Tommy rehashes the same story.

Chicano artworks gathered by Cheech Marin in San Diego

The Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego is to present an exhibition entitled “Chicanitas: Small Paintings from the Cheech Marin Collection” from 21 December 2013 until 23 March 2014 at the MCASD Downtown, Jacobs Building.

Perhaps better known for his work as an actor and director, particularly as part of the comic duo Cheech and Chong, Cheech Marin is bringing together pieces of Chicano art from the past 25 years. He has created a renowned collection and organised exhibitions which have travelled across the United States. For “Chicanitas”, Marin has brought together a rich variety of works which demonstrate the complexity of Chicano art.

The word Chicano is used to describe people from Latin America living in the United States. The Chicano movement is an extension of the Mexican-American civil rights movement of the 1940s. The Chicanos demanded citizenship, no longer wanting to be be classed as immigrants or foreigners within the United States. Within their local communities, Chicanos speak the Spanish language, follow the Catholic faith and retain a close connection to their country of origin.

Their stunningly successful comedy streak transitioned to film in 1978 with their first movie, Up In Smoke, the highest grossing comedy of 1978, topping $100 million at the box office. Stacy Keach Discusses his Cocaine Arrest in his New Book

Legendary actor, Stacy Keach (Sargant Stadanko from Up in Smoke and Nice Dreams) has a lot on his plate right now.  He's shot four sitcoms in the past 5 weeks.  Last weekend, he appeared in a play at UCLA. This weekend he'll be narrating Edgar Allen Poe's The Tell-tale Heart at the "EEK! at the Greek" Halloween concert with the Glen Orchestra.

And he recently released his book titled All in All: An Actor's Life On and Off the Stage.  Among other things, he discusses his addiction to cocaine and his bust in Europe after which he served a six month sentence.

Keach will be discussing his career and his autobiography Friday evening at the American Cinematheque's Aero Theatre in Santa Monica between screenings of two of his best films: William Peter Blatty's surreal "The Ninth Configuration" (1980), which finds the actor portraying an outrageous commanding officer at an old castle-turned-asylum for U.S. soldiers, and John Huston's downbeat "Fat City" (1972), in which Keach is heartbreaking as a washed-up pugilist.

Update: Cheech and Chong Up in Smoke Holiday Tour Coming to New Jersey

The Cheech and Chong reunion tour keeps going and going and going.

This time, they're coming back to New Jersey.  They've played Atlantic City, Red Bank and now they're playing Bergen PAC in Englewood.  It's the Cheech and Chong and WAR Up in Smoke Holiday Tour.

We don't know if the holiday tour is any different than the standard Up in Smoke tour.

Bergen PAC is in our backyard.  We've been there many times. It's an ok venue.  The acoustics and sound system aren't very good.  It's very often difficult to hear what people on stage are saying.

The audience is also rather interesting because a large part of the audience is elderly rich donors with season passes.  We saw Colin Quinn there and were surrounded by 80-90 year olds.

Actor and Art Collector Cheech Marin to Visit UW

August 16, 2013 — Well-known entertainer Cheech Marin, who has gained additional acclaim as a collector of Chicano art, is scheduled to visit the University of Wyoming campus and present two public programs on Sept. 6-7.

Marin will speak about “Chicano Art: Cultivating the Chicano Future” at 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6, in the Wyoming Union Ballroom, followed by a book signing. On Saturday, Sept. 7, at 10:30 a.m., he will give an informal gallery walk-through at the UW Art Museum. Both programs are free and open to the public.

An opening reception to celebrate the exhibition is planned Friday, Sept. 6, from 6-8 p.m. at the UW Art Museum. This event also is free and open to the public.

While on campus, Marin also will meet with faculty members and students from the Chicano Studies, American Studies, Art and History departments.

Marin, who is best known for his work in movies, television and improvisational comedy, has been acquiring art for more than 25 years and has amassed arguably the most renowned collection of Chicano art in private hands.

“Cheech Marin’s efforts as a collector of and advocate for Chicano art have made this important art genre visible and accessible to main street America,” says the UW Art Museum’s director and chief curator, Susan Moldenhauer. “His public lecture will illuminate the importance of this art and explore its connections to the broader genre of American art.”

A selection of paintings from Marin’s private collection will be on view at the UW Art Museum Sept. 7-Nov. 23. “Chicanitas: Small Paintings from the Cheech Marin Collection” features paintings all under 16 by 16 inches, and showcases 26 established and emerging Chicano artists. The painting styles include photo-realism, abstraction, portraits and landscapes.

“’Chicanitas’ is drawn from Marin’s most recent interest in collecting works that explore the personal lives and daily routines of the Chicano experience,” Moldenhauer says. “Smaller in scale than the large canvases that Chicano artists have used to convey the political and social realm of their experience, the paintings in the exhibition offer more personal yet powerful perspective of their lives.”

The exhibition and Marin’s visit are made possible in part by the Wyoming Humanities Council, Wyoming Cultural Trust Fund, Wyoming Arts Council through the Wyoming State Legislature and the National Endowment for the Arts, UW Chicano Studies, UW Multicultural Affairs, UW Student Activities Council, UW Art Department, Wyoming Institute for Humanities Research, ASUW, MEChA, UW National Advisory Board Endowment, and UW Art Museum Gala funds.

For more information, call the Art Museum at (307) 766-6622 or visit http://www.uwyo.edu/artmuseum and the museum’s blog at www.uwyoartmuseum.org, or follow the museum on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/uwyoartmuseum.

Through its “museum as classroom” approach, the UW Art Museum places art at the center of learning for all ages. The museum is located in the Centennial Complex at 2111 Willett Drive in Laramie. Hours are Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday hours are extended to 9 p.m. February through April and September through November. Admission is free.

Cheech and Chong are Coming to Tacoma

On November 16th, the Cheech and Chong: Joint Venture tour is coming to the Emerald Queen Casino in Tacoma, Washington.

Don't be confused with the Up in Smoke tour which includes the bands WAR and Tower of Power.  This is just Cheech and Tommy.  It's actually better because it's just  comedy, instead of bouncing back and forth between comedy and music.  The other format was confusing.

The KJR-FM pre-sale is tomorrow, August 14th at 10am local via the ticket link above.  We don't know the passcode so listen to the station or go to their site to find out.  The general sale is Friday.

TOMMY CHONG to Star as “Gawd”

Los Angeles – 8 August 2013 – Wow and Flutter Media Group announced today that Tommy Chong, one-half of the legendary comedy duo Cheech and Chong will star in the feature comedy, “It’s Gawd!”

“Desperate to save the world, (and his job), the creator of Earth journeys to the planet to reconnect with mankind- via an internet variety show.” Billed as an irreverent comedy with a heart, the film offers an entirely fresh interpretation of the divine. “It’s a rebellious call to action that endeavors to inspire a troubled world through humor and music”, said Gerald Brunskill, the film’s writer and director. He credits, Neale Donald Walsch’s best-seller, Conversations with God as the inspiration for writing the script.

The movie also stars Rebecca Mader of ABC’s Lost fame who recently appeared with Robert Downey Jr. in Iron Man 3. The movie is written and will be directed by first-timer Gerald (Jerry) Brunskill and will be produced by Brunskill’s Wow and Flutter Media Group which he helms with Partner and Producer Ryan Rees. Rees will Produce along with Adam O’Connor. Ruchir Garg will Executive Produce and Jennifer Birn is casting and co-producing.

It’s Gawd! marks Chong’s first full-length feature since 1984’s, “Cheech and Chong’s the Corsican Brothers” and will be the first time that he appears in a starring role without his long-time partner, Cheech Marin.

“I guess you could say I had my spiritual awakening while I was in Prison. I liked (Jerry’s) take on God combined with the comedy” said Chong. “If you look at the world today as it is, you gotta think only a stoner could’ve put that together.”

Chong, who spent nine months in a federal penitentiary for selling bongs and marijuana pipes was last featured in “aka Tommy Chong”, a documentary film that chronicles his experience and is critical of the prosecution of Chong by the U.S. federal government.

“There was never anybody else for this role.” offers Brunskill. “Tommy Chong is the perfect blend of whimsy, wisdom, and counter-culture. I think people are going to fall in love with him all over again when they see this movie.”

Brunskill, also an accomplished musician and film composer, came up with the idea while touring with Neale Donald Walsch, author of the wildly popular book series, Conversations with God. “I found the trials of integrating and observing a spiritually conscious lifestyle from a tour bus hysterical. Ultimately it served as the perfect inspiration with which to share these sorts of messages with an audience that wouldn’t normally be exposed to them.”

“This movie is going to surprise and resonate with a lot of people,” Chong ads. Cameras are set to roll in September of this year in Los Angeles.

Tommy Chong Responds to Daughter's Oprah Comments

TMZ caught up with Tommy Chong and asked him what he thought about his daughter's, Rae Dawn Chong, controversial comments about Oprah Winfrey.

Tuesday, July 23, 2013

Tommy Chong on Canadian Television Show Satisfaction

Tommy Chong was recently on the Canadian television show, Satisfaction.

Notes of Interest from the Interview with Rae Dawn Chong

In June, Rae Dawn Chong, actress and Tommy Chong's daughter called into Matty P's Radio Happy Hour.

Besides the well-documented Oprah Winfrey controversy, the interview was packed full of great stories.

Here are some highlights:
  • In 6th grade, she was busted for selling weed.  Tommy comes to the school with his really long hair and they assumed she was selling his weed.  It wasn't.
  • She's only done heroin twice in her life, despite what Mackenzie Philips said in her book. She didn't shoot it.
  • Rae Dawn went with Mackenzie to a publisher meeting at Tavern on the Green in NYC and Mackenzie kept nodding off.  Rae Dawn was such a drug novice that she didn't even realize Mackenzie was on heroin at that time.
  • Rae Dawn disputes Mackenzie Philips incest allegations.  She says Papa John Philips was a junkie who had no interest in sex.  He was only interested in drugs and money.
  • Tommy Chong discovered the Jackson 5.
  • Michael Jackson was so obsessed with Rae Dawn that he cast a Rae Dawn look-a-like for the The Way You Make Me Feel video.
  • Steven Spielberg cut most of her scenes from The Color Purple, scenes which could have scored her an Oscar.
  • Steve Spielberg put the moves on Rae Dawn during filming.
  • Her former husband, C Thomas Howell, was well-hung.
  • She was hired to be on Good Times, but she was fired because she spoke too well.
  • She didn't get along with Jim Belushi while filming The Principal.
  • Recently, she shot a pilot for a new show called The Celebrate. She wrote it. It's about a woman that travels around New Hampshire to see the human condition.

Entire Audio of Rae Dawn Chong Interview...Let the Truth be Heard

Last week, TMZ posted excerpts from an interview Matty P's Radio Happy Hour conducted with Rae Dawn Chong.  Rae Dawn made some very crude and, some would argue, racist comments about Oprah.

Rae Dawn responded with a video on YouTube saying those clips were taken out of context.  She said if everyone heard the entire interview, it would make more sense.

We have the entire audio interview for download right here.  She's correct.  It doesn't sound as bad if you hear the entire interview.

In summary, Rae Dawn Chong and Oprah Winfrey were in the film The Color Purple.  Rae Dawn went on to do Commando with Maria Shriver's husband (Arnold Schwarzenegger).  Oprah is a very jealous and vindictive person.  She was super jealous of Rae Dawn.  Oprah invited the Commando cast to be on her show.  The cast was backstage as she called each cast member out on stage.  She called everyone, but Rae Dawn.

Update: Rae Dawn Chong Releases Rebuttal Video

In case you missed it, media outlets posted clips from an interview Tommy Chong's daughter, Rae Dawn Chong, did on Matty P's Radio Happy Hour in which she ripped Oprah a new a-hole and said in the old days she would have been a field n*gger.  This is because she's pissed off that Oprah brought everyone from the film, Commando, on stage to be interviewed...everyone, but her.

Now, Rae Dawn and her people must be freaking out because of the bad exposure this gave her.  She's saying on twitter that if TMZ had posted the entire interview, everyone would have heard her complement Oprah.
Side note: Unlike her dad, Rae Dawn is actually a nice person.  She speaks her mind. Everyone knows Oprah is a horrible person so don't act surprised by Rae Dawn's comments.

Here's her rebuttal.

Tommy Chong's Daughter, Rae Dawn, Blasts Oprah Winfrey

Tommy Chong's daughter, Rae Dawn, blasted Oprah Winfrey during her interview on the June 27th episode of Matty P's Radio Happy Hour.   She says she and Oprah got along great during the filming of The Color Purple, but things turned sour after Rae Dawn filmed 1985's Commando.

The cast was invited to do an interview, by Oprah, but Oprah never invited her on stage.

“That’s when she was a total biotch,” she emphasized. "I starred in ‘Commando.’ And she just wasn’t having me. She’s competitive. She didn’t like me. She just wasn’t having me."

"If you look at the way [Oprah] looks, she looks like 60 years ago she would have been a house keeper luckily. She would have not been a house n**ger she would have been a field n**ger."

"No matter how vile she is, you kinda gotta go, 'hello hats off' like, you’ve done an amazing thing you have actually shifted the DNA of the universe."

Keep in mind that Rae Dawn is half black so she must think she has a free pass to have this tirade.  Tommy Chong left his wife/her mom after knocking up his 14 yr old babysitter, Shelby.  Yes, this is the same Shelby he's still married to.

Film Independent at LACMA goes 'Up in Smoke' on July 25

"It will make you feel very funny" was the tag line for Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong's 1978 hit comedy, "Up in Smoke."

The granddaddy of stoner movies, "Up in Smoke" has become part of popular culture and influenced drug-fueled slacker comedies over the last three decades.

Now Film Independent at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art is paying tribute to the Lou Adler-directed comedy that Variety described as a "mixture of fitful slapstick and toilet humor," July 25 at the Bing Theater.

Marin is scheduled to appear in conversation at the screening.

The film finds Cheech and Chong as -- guess what? -- a pair of stoners who set out on the road to find freedom and some righteous pot. Stacy Keach, Tom Skerritt, Strother Martin and even Edie Adams are along for the irreverent ride.

Reviews were decidedly mixed, but Pauline Kael wrote in the New Yorker, "This piece of stoned-hippie foolishness, starring the comedy team Cheech and Chong, who wrote the script, is fairly consistently funny."

The R-rated film was one of the biggest hits of the year, earning more than $44 million, placing 14th on the Box Office Mojo chart of slacker/stoner films. Last year's "Ted" is No. 1 in the genre, with more than $218 million.

"Up in Smoke" was the most successful of the eight films Cheech and Chong made.

Trailer Posted for Film About Tommy Chong's Cellmate

The trailer for Martin Scorsese's latest film, The Wolf of Wall Street, has been posted.  It stars Leonardo Dicaprio.

Why is this Cheech and Chong site posting about it?...because the film is based on a book written by Jordon Belfort. He served time at Taft Correctional at the same time Tommy Chong was at Taft.  They were cellmates.  Jordan saw that Tommy Chong was writing The I Chong: Meditations from the Joint and wanted to do the same.

Tommy Chong read his first draft and didn't like it.  Jordan rewrote the book and this is the version that was released.

Starring award-winning comedian Ryan Belleville (THE L.A. Anchoring an all-new block of Monday night comedy on CTV, SATISFACTION is paired with a new summer season of Charlie Sheen’s ANGER MANAGEMENT (8:30 p.m. ET/PT).

SATISFACTION mines the trials and tribulations of young adulthood for laughs, touching on everything from the fear of opening a joint bank account and using a scurvy diagnosis to get out of a new job, to finally making friends with a new couple who then turn out to be swingers.

**Media Note** – Download photos from SATISFACTION at BellMediaPR.ca.

“SATISFACTION is a clever and hilarious look at life through the eyes of three, 20-something friends and roommates as they take each day in stride, and try to achieve the perfect balance between adult responsibility and their carefree existence,” said Phil King, President, CTV Programming and Sports. “Joining a hit lineup on Monday nights, SATISFACTION and ANGER MANAGEMENT are destined to deliver a very funny hour of summertime comedy.”

After looking at his vision board, the only plausible thing left to achieve is to perform live music. Never having heard him sing before, Maggie (Renee) signs him up for open mic night at the bar, but then quickly regrets her decision. Meanwhile, Mark (Belleville) is stuck in a dry spell, unable to pick up a girl to save his life. With Jason off the market, Maggie suggests Mark get a new wingman – like Simon (Thornton). Cheech & Chong, WAR, Tower of Power Coming to Atlantic City

Another tour date announced!

The Cheech and Chong - WAR - Tower of Power Up in Smoke tour is coming Atlantic City, New Jersey.

Unfortunately, it's at the Taj Mahal which is in dire need a complete renovation.  Guess Cheech and Tommy didn't want to pay the cost of renting the Borgata.  We recommend staying at Revel and walking over.

August 17th
Trump Taj Mahal
Atlantic City, NJ
Tickets go on sale this Saturday at 10am local time via the Ticketmaster link above.

Two great bands of the 70's come together for the "Hot Summer Nights -- Up in Smoke" concert, featuring War, Tower of Power and Cheech and Chong! The legendary multi-platinum band War defined early-70s popular music, fusing together rock, funk, jazz, Latin, R&B and even reggae into a string of hit singles and acclaimed albums.

Tower of Power has been creating their own kind of soul music. Since 1968, Tower of Power has delivered their unique brand of music to their fans, appearing before sold-out crowds as they tour the world each year. Tower's sound can be hard to categorize, but the band's leader and founding member, Emilio Castillo, has labeled their sound as "Urban Soul Music."

Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong had early success with the release of their first feature-length movie, "Up in Smoke" in 1978. The movie became something of a cult classic and was successful enough to warrant a sequel.

Now the comic duo has teamed up for "Hot Summer Nights -- Up in Smoke" a comedy show / concert featuring music by WAR and Tower of Power, as heard in the 1978 feature-length movie, "Up in Smoke."

Cheech Marin Makes a Mojito for Maxim Magazine

During their recent media tour, Cheech and Chong made Mojitos for Maxim magazine.  Interestingly, Cheech said he used to own a Vietnamese restaurant.  He's referring to the restaurant in San Francisco he co-owned with Don Johnson.  We don't know if it's true, but Tommy mentioned that Cheech lost the restaurant in the divorce.

Cheech & Chong's Animated Movie!..The Reviews are in and They're Not Good

We don't want to be a Debbie Downer, but most of the reviews for Cheech & Chong's Animated Movie! are horrible.  The movie was officially released today.

Let's start with other people's reviews and then we'll give our own.

5/10 stars
"...greatest hits album of old bits, interpreted through the click-and-point miracle of modern cartooning. Strictly for the faithful, the feature is essentially a victory lap for the pair, recycling their brand of drugs-n-fart humor in an attempt to entice a new generation of stoners aching to see such antics colorfully rendered onscreen." and "As far as I can tell, there’s nothing new about the material with the exception of a few songs and some transitional material (including the nonsensical Buster adventure), leaving the feature old news to longstanding admirers of the duo, while newcomers might be baffled by the disjointed nature of the picture, left without comedic history to successfully compute the onslaught of drug ingestion situations and bodily function humor. "

Under the Gun
D-
"This played out cash grab from comedy veterans will most likely only appeal to the most immature or die-hard fans." and "I barely made it through the whole movie. I will say that older hippies that own every Cheech & Chong record will probably get some laughs out of the movie, but for everyone else I would suggest avoiding it." and "It feels borderline insulting that they just added cheap looking flash animations over old bits and labeled it as a new movie instead of coming up with some new, solid, material. It’s only been a few decades since their last film, I guess they needed more time."

Examiner
D
"it’s not the CGI-type of animation, so that could be the only part considered “fresh” in this film. But it's really retro, old-school, Flash-style animation, and it looks ugly." and "Cheech & Chong’s Animated Movie is something that could have worked, if the filmmakers decided to actually put some thought into it, rather than use what was already done before and put it in a different setting."

Celeb Stoner
Steve Bloom of Celeb Stoner liked the film.  He says the cartoon design was "top notch."  Yet, he did admit he was the only person in the New York City theater on the only night it was playing there.

Keep in mind that Steve Bloom is friends with Cheech and Chong and sees them backstage at every show and appearance in the NY, NJ, PA, CT area.  In addition, he promotes them a lot.

Comic Book Den
6.5/10
"animation was as crude as the plot and the jokes. It’s really bad Flash animation the likes of which we don’t even see on television series made with Flash nowadays. This looks like something a junior crew of animators have worked on."

Cheech and Chong Fans Dot Com
C
The creators of Cheech & Chong's Animated Film! said they were going to tie together tracks from their old albums and make a story.  We wondered how they were going to do this.  They didn't do this at all.  Instead, they animated their old bits and had Buster the Body Crab bounce from scene to scene.  Cheech and Chong said they got this idea from the squirrel in the film Ice Age.

It was kind of cool to see the sketches animated because if you listen to their old albums, there's a lot going on in the background which you may have missed.

Cheech and Tommy recorded some new songs for the film and to make money off the soundtrack.  The songs are annoying.

The animation looked like it was done in Adobe Flash.  It should have just been a movie on YouTube or Funny or Die (for free).

People that have never heard their albums won't understand the movie.  Fans of their albums will get bored.  We're fans so that's why we even gave it a C.

Richard Marin and Tommy Chong each got paid $100,000 cash to use their likeness, sketches and promote the movie.  The quote we heard from Tommy was along the lines of "this is the most money we [cheech and tommy] have ever been paid at one time in our lives."

Tommy and Shelby were earning approximately $5k/night before Tommy went to prison.  Their rate increased to $8-10k/night after he was released thanks to Josh Gilbert's film a/k/a Tommy Chong.

We don't know what the legendary Lou Adler got paid, but it's definitely a lot more because the entire film uses the albums he owns.

One of the people that bankrolled this film was Johnny Fratto of Howard Stern/Eric the Midget fame.  We like Johnny.  We hope he breaks even.

This is a low budget film, but still too high for what was delivered.

Cheech and Chong Discuss Lou Adler and Record Store Day

Earlier this week, Billboard interviewed Cheech and Chong at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony after party.  They were there to induct their record producer Lou Adler.

Cheech and Tommy weren't aware that Earache My Eye was being released today on limited edition 7 inch green vinyl as part of Record Store Day.  They thought that was really cool.

Tommy said Lou Adler is like a great art collector.  He keeps his record company tiny so he can pay attention to his artists. He picks his artists like an art collector would choose a painting.  As a result, all the artists go to the top.

Cheech and Chong have Taken Over Funny or Die

Cheech and Chong had a busy day today promoting their new movie, Cheech and Chong's Animated Movie!.

They were answering questions on Reddit, Facebook, Twitter, Google and were on Livestream.

What you didn't know is that they have completely taken over Funny or Die.

This is really wild.  You need to check this out.

Nice! I Scored Earache My Eye at Record Store Day 2013

Today is the ultimate holiday for vinyl geeks.  Record Store Day 2013.

Record Store Day was conceived in 2007 at a gathering of independent record store owners and employees as a way to celebrate and spread the word about the unique culture surrounding over 700 independently owned record stores in the US and thousands of similar stores internationally.

This joyous day takes place every year on the third Saturday of April.

When I arrived at my local store, there were over thirty people in the queue.  Many had been waiting since last night.

The music distributor chooses which stores get which albums so I was hoping I'd get what I can for.
Score!  They had them.  The coolest piece of vinyl this year.

Cheech and Chong's Earache My Eye featuring Alice Bowie.
“Earache My Eye” b/w "Turn That Thing Down.” Pressed on marijuana green vinyl.

It's just like the single that was released in the 1970s, but it's green vinyl.

Limited to 1500 pieces.

It's a collectible so it's going into storage with my Nice Dreams storyboards and my other assorted Cheech and Chong treasures.

I have an extra.  If you're interested, make me an offer,

Happy 420!

Toke, Toke it Out, Man.

Cheech and Chong Take Stoner Tests for 4/20

This is a really funny interview with Cheech and Chong.

Stoner comedy duo Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong demonstrate the long-term effects of marijuana use in these Mandatory 420 Drug Tests!

Cheech and Chong have been smoking weed consistently since the 1970s, man. They're even starred in some of the most successful stoner comedies of all time - "Up in Smoke," "Cheech and Chong's Nice Dreams" and on and on. So who better to gather on 4/20 and test some of the most famous stereotypes about pot?

Some of our very officially and peer reviewed experiments include:
- The Memory Test: Can Cheech and Chong remember facts about their own movies?
- The Munchies Test: Will the guys go for Cheetos or veggies?
- The Hackysack Test: Do the guys want to get in on a hack? And much, much more.

Want to see how they scored? Afraid they may have set the cause of stoner equality back 40 years? Check out the video and find out! Read our blog to discover more trends! http://whatstrending.com/

Cheech and Chong Q & A Session at Los Angeles Film School

Cheech and Chong participated in a Q & A session at the Los Angeles Film School this past weekend.

They were promoting their upcoming film, Cheech and Chong's Animated Movie! which is available for pre-order now.

The Cheech and Chong's Animated Movie! Musical Soundtrack Album was released this past Tuesday.

Some corrections to the answers they gave:
1. How they got back together...
They started speaking again and got back together because of Mr Weedmaster aka the former owner of Cheech and Chong Dot Com. Tommy had him repeatedly email Cheech saying they could make a lot of money if they got back together and that bands like the Rolling Stones were making a fortune touring.
2. Rehearsing...
They did indeed rehearse before their first show at the Comedy Store.  The first time they rehearsed they got in a huge argument over the same ole control issues that broke them up originally.  It took repeated meetings to get them to function with each other.
