If You Missed Cheech On Lost...

Did you miss Cheech Marin on tonight's episode of Lost? Don't be bummed out, man. It will be available for download via itunes tomorrow.

It was a great episode. It centered around Hurley and his dad (played by Cheech). Cheech is featured throughout the episode. You really need to see his hair. It's farrr out.

Cheech To Make Debut On Lost This Wednesday


This Wednesday on ABC, Cheech Marin will make his debut on Lost as Hurley's dad. The episode primarily focuses on Hurley.

There are at least two flashbacks. During one flashback, his dad (Cheech) speaks of "having hope" and says "make your own luck."

Tommy Chong To Play Benefit In California

Tommy Chong will be performing at a benefit to raise money for the legal defense fund of marijuana advocate, Ed Rosenthal. Ed was arrested in 2003 for growing marijuana. He estimates he needs to raise $300,000 for his upcoming trial.

Tickets can be purchased from his web site. Note: At the time, we don't see any mention of the benefit on his web site. For more information, we recommend calling the phone number on the bottom of his site.

When: March 4th.
Where: Rosenthal's Lake Avenue home in Piedmont, CA.
Cost: $125 at the door. $100 in advance.

George Lopez Discusses Playing Golf With Cheech

In an interview with the Ventura County Star, comedian and actor, George Lopez, discusses his appreciation of golf, as well as the time he played golf with Cheech Marin at Saticoy.

"Cheech was telling me about the greens, but I'm a pretty good putter," Lopez said. "I hit a putt and all he said was, ‘Bye.'

"I asked what he meant, and he told me to watch. The ball just kept rolling and rolling and it eventually rolled off the green."

The George Lopez Show airs Wednesday's on ABC-TV. Tommy Chong will be on an upcoming episode. The air date hasn't been set yet, but we'll let you know when it has.

Cheech Marin & Friends Coming To Colusa

Cheech Marin's traveling comedy tour, Cheech Marin & Friends, will be in Colusa, CA, April 13th.

Cheech Marin plays ringleader to comedic cohorts. Cheech will also tells jokes and perform with a band, belting out old Cheech & Chong favorites such as Born in East L.A.

Last year, Marin hosted the Comedy Central special Cheech Marin & Friends: Live from South Beach," which premiered on March 13th 2006.

The event takes place Friday, April 13th at the Colusa Indian Bingo Casino. Tickets are on sale now.

Cheech & Chong Smokey Bear PSA


Over the past 50 years, the Forest Service has recorded numerous celebrity public service announcements. They were released on 45s and played by local radio stations.

In 1985, Cheech & Chong recorded a PSA where they were looking for Smokey Bear in the forest. "Well, like he's checkin' out for careless people, man, who start fires in the forest."

The Forest Service has posted these old spots online.

Chicano Now Debuts In Milwaukee

Chicano Now, a Chicano art exhibit designed by Cheech Marin, opens today at the Milwaukee Public Museum. It runs thru May 28th.

According to Cheech, "I want all Americans to understand that Chicano culture plays a big part in the patchwork quilt that is American. 'Chicano Now' is a rip-roaring party, and everyone's invited."
